MEET THE FOUNDER
KIERAN KOBELKE
GFSA was founded by Kieran Kobelke, a teacher, coach and international athlete. He is passionate about the benefits of rowing and fitness and is driven to make them accessible.
Raised as a NSW country boy, Kieran has a passion for challenging himself and taking up lifes opportunitues to explore and grow. Kieran has climbed the crater of an Ecuadorian volcano at 4500m, scuba dived to 40m in the Ari Atoll, cycled solo from Sydney to Brisbane in 5 days, hiked the Lofoten Islands in Norway, skied under the Northern Lights in Lapland, toured Europe with the Australian Rowing Team, competing at the highest level. He has also worked as a farmhand, outdoor education instructor, landscaper, builder's laborer, stud bull deliverer, bike mechanic, faciliteis manager, and disability carer. His work with youth has successfully fostered an environment where young people can learn new skills and improve their physical, mental, and emotional abilities.
Kieran started Good Form SA to make rowing more accessible to everyone. Leveraging his experience as an elite athlete, business administrator, and teacher, Kieran is dedicated to shaping Good Form SA into an organisation that positively impacts lives. Already, young rowers have been inspired to pursue ambitious sporting and academic goals.

Where GFSA has come from and where we are going

Small Beginings
2018
As a Teacher at Balgowlah Boys Kieran introduced rowing to the school using an old rowing machine. The rowing machine helped find a small group of interested students to came to try rowing on the water after school.

Early Success
2019-2022
A larger group of students attended regular rowing sessions and started to compete and school and club regattas. The rowing squad was formed and attended regattas and crews started to win races.


Today and Beyond
2023 - 2024
Good Form is now the Service Provider for Mosman Rowing Club, running squads of all ages and abilities.
